Embedded MIPSboards

Embedded MIPS-boards family is executed on the basis of AMD Alchemy™ Solutions processors and is intended  for construction of a wild  spectrum of devices - from mobile with self-contained power supply to multichannel measuring equipment with real-time signal processing.

The board consists of two modules: Processor and Interface. Any processor module can be fixed to the interface one, which provides physical support of basic computer interfaces, keyboard, mouse and connection of colour LCD panel.

Processor modules have low power consumption 1,2W…3,5W and overall dimensions in the range from (60x76)mm up to (100x76)mm. Depending upon the installed memory capacity, speed and hardware options, their cost price is from 65$ up to 570$.

Instrumental MIPS‑board

Terminal MIPS‑board

MIPS-board with DSP accelerator module accept application of FPGA  Xilinx Virtex II in capacity from 250 thousand up to 1.0 million gates. It is possible to attach to FPGA from two to four independent external banks SRAM 256Kx16 for dataflow buffering. All circuits of the static bus of the processor are got in FPGA. The data in the module can come both on usual digital I/O to lines  (up to 68 lines are available), and on LVDS pairs (up to 32 pairs + 4 I/O lines are available). There are two lines of direct access request to memory of processor:  DMA0 è DMA1.  More details...

Instrumental MIPS-board module has  the buffered static bus of the processor, with additional output on the 100-pins external slot. Lines CS1#, CS2#, CS3# and request lines of direct access to memory DMA0, DMA1 are available for a choice of peripherals. The mode of compulsory switch of the bus buffers in the third status is realized both on the part of the processor, and on the part of peripherals. The separate group of control signals allows to connect the external controller of LCD TFT panel with support of the resolution up to 1600x1200 points. More details...

Terminal MIPS-board module possesses the minimal dimensions (60x76) mm, and cost of componentry at a supply from external sources +3,3V and +1,2V voltage does not exceed 65 $. Average power consumption of the module is at a level 1,2W. The module fits well for transceiving data through standard computer interfaces RS-232, USB, Ethernet 10/100, AC'97 and their display to the small monitor. There is a built - in controller of colour LCD TFT panel with support of the resolution up to 800x600 points. More details...

Network MIPS‑board (preliminary)

Network MIPSboard processor module is practically identical to the Instrumental MIPS-board processor module on the structure. Difference between them is in number of the built - in network controllers 10/100 Ethernet MAC and in absence of core support of LCD TFT panel with support of the resolution up to 800x600 by the network board processor AU1000. But control signals for external controller of LCD panel with the resolution 1600x1200 are in each module.  More details...

Interface MIPSboard module

For interfacing to peritherals Embedded MIPS-board has the universal Interface module. It can be connected to any of processor modules and provides physical support of 10/100 Ethernet, USB Host/Dev and RS-232 interfaces. Besides, the module has slots for connection of loops of the membrane keyboard, LCD-panel and the inverter of backlights. DC-DC converters +3.3V, +5V and +12V are also located on it. More details...

Started Kit

Started Kit represents the suite of processor and interface modules, the color liquid-crystal display 320x240 (NL3224BC35-20, NEC) with inverter of backlights (55PW131, NEC), a set of cables and the external adapter of a main power feed ~220V.

Started Kit has a base firmware with a set of demos for testing of network and local interfaces. Connection of the standard PC-keyboard to one of the USB-ports is provided. The graphic mouse manipulator is connected to the other USB-port.

For the monitorng of a loading process of the MIPS-board it is possible to use any terminal program - HyperTerminal (Windows 9x) or Norton Commander (DOS), and connection with a computer can be set up through Ethernet 10/100 or RS-232 interface.  More details...

Embedded ARM-board

The embedded ARM-board is executed on basis of Cirrus Logic EP9315 processor and is intended for use in wild spectrum of tasks with higher requirements to communication and functional capabilities of hardware support under tight constraint of the componentry cost.

The board consists of the three modules: processor, interface and relay.

The processor module has limited set of peripheral interfaces: ATA-IDE, 10/100 Ethernet, USB, RS‑232, SXGA and Touch Screen. USB-keyboard, mouse, color display with resolution till 1280x1024 and HDD can be connected directly to the processor module. More details...

The interface module contains two  serial interfaces RS‑232 and RS‑485 with galvanic separation, microphone input, audiocodec AC’97, audio power amplifier 10W and secondary supply system for the whole board.

The relay module has four pairs of input lines for potential signals in the range from +3V to +200V with optoelectronic junction and four relays 12A/250V with break-make contact.

Embedded ARM-board has low power consumption - no more then 3,5W and dimensions (LxWxH) – 128mm x 90mm x 57mm. The cost ot the ARM-board is from 125$ to 250$ depending on installed memory volumes, perfomance and hardware options.
