Universal interface module

The universal interface module of the Embedded MIPS-board is intended for its interfacing to external devices (LCD TFT/STN, the membrane keyboard), standard periphery (RS-232, USB, 10/100 Ethernet) and supply voltage stabilization.

Structure of the interface module

Output slots RS-232, USBA, USBB, RJ-45, LCD, CCFL LCD and of the membrane keyboard, powerful DC-DC converters +3V3, +5V and +12V, elements of protection and interfacing of a physical level of standard periphery 10/100 Ethernet, USB and RS-232 and management of a mode of the first USB port (Host/Device) are located on the interface module.

The interface module is executed on ÄÏÏ with the dimensions 124mm x 76mm. Output slots are placed on both sides of the module so that the total height of a board was minimal - no more 25mm. The interface module has some communication slots of interplanar assembly for connection of any of processor modules. The peripherals slot is the common for all types of processor modules.

For increase of functionality of the board the processor modules can use both own converters of the basic supply +3.3V, and DC-DC converter of the raised capacity from the interface module.

For external devices, for example HDD, the separate outpet slot of the stabilized voltage +12V is provided.

Power control of DC-DC converters is carried out on a command from the processor module or by circuit of parallel jumpers on the interface or processor module. Instead of the jumper it is possible to use the removed button.

Cost

Cost of the componentry of an individual unit does not exceed a mark 120$.
